Carly Sue has sponges that she is painting her butterfly with. She chose a ladybug, flower and butterfly sponge.
She carefully dips in the paint and then presses it down on the paper. At first, she didn't want her colors to mix. Then she decided that it looked better blended together. Either way, her butterfly was beautiful.
Carmine was next. He decided he wanted to blend his colors, too. He did a great job pressing down his sponge, so that it made a full print. He liked purple and used it alone and mixed with blue and red. Very pretty Carmine!
We decided that the butterflies were too big for the table. We thought it would work out best if we painted one at a time. Here Evan is waiting for his turn, while Carmine paints.
Evan is using two sponges at once. He said the butterfly was "too big" and he needed "more paint"!
He used two hands to push down on his sponges. He also painted right down the middle of the butterfly. Nice job, Evan!!
