Big Feet, Little Feet

We took our shoes of and had some fun. We traced our feet onto paper. We looked at the shape with and without shoes and made comparisons. I took turns tracing their feet and they also traced their own and each others. After we traced them, they took them to the writing center and practiced following the line with a marker. We had our own version of feet stencils. We tried to decide who had the smaller and bigger foot, Evan or Carly Sue. They are both pretty close in size. Now compared to Ms. Paula's foot, well that is a different story.

Carly Sue is tracing her foot.

Evan is tracing while standing up.

Off to the writing center to color in our feet. They decided that they had big feet until they compared them to mine!

Carly Sue is deciding which is bigger....the letter D or her foot.

Evan said,"My foot is BIGGER!!!"

Evan is comparing his feet to the letter T. Which is bigger???

After I made patterns of their feet, Evan and Carly Sue glued them to paper and colored them with markers.

Then we got out some paint and made dinosaur foot prints next to our own. We did some comparing and tried to figure out which feet were bigger.

It was unanimous...We have bigger feet than the dinosaurs. The toy dinosaurs of course!!!
